In 1964, Marco Ferreri made a film based on Julia Pastrana’s life. You can watch it in its entirety here!

THE APE WOMAN

A Rock Opera written and composed by May van Oskan which chronicles the bizarre and haunted journey of Victorian circus phenomenon Julia Pastrana. Recent performances include a two-week run at The Exit Theatre in San Francisco and a one-week feature at The Berkshire Fringe.
